In
June, 2007, National Engineering Research Center for Information Technology
in Agriculture (NERCITA) submitted the digital bird repeller to Ministry
of Science and Technology of China for 863 project of the “eleventh
five-year plan”. The digital bird repeller was approved
Recent years, birds’ number has been largely increased due to the
improved living environment, which has influenced people’s daily life.
The research of digital bird repeller began in 2005. The first general
products put into experiment in 2006. While in 2007, the second generation
products have been put into use in airport, farmland and gardens,
which has received a good response.
However, there are still many problems in the research. Therefore,
NERCITA has cooperated with Beijing Normal University
and Chinese Academy of Agricultural Mechanization
Science for further research.
Cooperation 1: Beijing Normal
University
Since its foundation in 1982, the Beijing Normal University has
been devoting to birds study for many years, especially studying
bird distribution, bird diversity, bird behavior and so on. They
recorded birds’ sounds and processed the sounds. Their research
results have been used in many fields, especially in dispelling
birds in airport.
Cooperation 2: Chinese Academy
of Agricultural Mechanization Science
Since established in 1956, with the concerns of Party and state
leaders of all generations, related ministries and committees of
the government, with the support from the colleagues in agricultural
machinery industry, with the sustainable striving and efforts making
of the academy staff of several generations, Chinese Academy of
Agricultural Mechanization Sciences (CAAMS) has been growing from
small to big and became become a large scientific and technological
enterprise engaged in scientific research, scientific and technological
industry and engineering directly under the leadership of the Central
Government of China. CAAMS has more than 3,600 staff and 1,600 experts
and professional technicians, turnover of RMB 844 million Yuan,
profit of RMB 62.9 million Yuan and the total assets of RMB 1.1
billion Yuan. CAAMS covers many professional technology research
areas, gives priority to technological equipments of modern agriculture,
forestry, animal husbandry and fishery along with the development
of related high-tech industries.
