Yesterday afternoon, the journalist visited the village and saw the bird nest hanging on a tall phoenix tree which is about five floors high near Building30.

One resident Ms. Yao told the journalist that her life had been disturbed since some black birds moved here about two months ago. She said, the birds often had water on the top of the building and then had dung on her balcony. She was annoyed because the smelly dung usually befouled her clothes and it is hard to wash. Other residents living in Dongjing village had similar experience with Ms. Yao. To save her clothes, Ms. Yao had to keep an eye on the birds. She dared not to leave her clothes on the balcony seeing the birds flying in the sky.

The residential administration told the journalist it was the first time they were encountered these annoying birds, and they had no other effective way to dispel them. They had asked help from the local garden administration. However, it was said there was still no other strategic plan to remove the bird nest, for they didn’t have scaling ladder. Considering the fire brigade had scaling ladder, the journalist turned to the fire brigade for advice. They suggested dealing with the bird nest in the coming spring, because in the winter, the branches were too crisp to bear scaling ladder. It seemed that the residents had to fight with the birds for a long time.
